As you should already know, Barack Obama was elected as our nation's new president on November 4th. However, he won't officially be president until he is sworn in. I am lucky enough to have an aunt who works at a school that's going to the inauguration. While I'm in D.C., I'll post to this blog daily to keep you updated on what I'm doing (as long as my fingers haven't frozen beyond use).

War Memorials

Today, we went to many of the war memorials. We saw the Korean War
Memorial (pictured here), passed by the World War I Memorial, and
visited the World War II Memorial, which was more personal for me
because of my great-grandfather (he's still alive, by the way). In
other news, I learned today that all the buses in D.C. right now lined
up nose-to-nose would measure 75 miles.
